Mare Details:
* Valley of Light is a daughter of the outstanding sire Dubawi, sire of 42 G1 winners including the mares Secret Admirer, Srikandi and Shamal Wind.
* Dubawi is establishing himself as a very good broodmare sire with 22 stakes winners including Australian gallopers Danawi and Futooh.
* Dubawi stood at a fee of GBP250,000 at Dalham Hall, Newmarket in his 2020 season.
* Valley of Light was purchased by Godolphin as a foal for 400,000gns.
* Valley of Light was lightly raced with 14 career starts. She placed twice in Europe before winning 2 races and placing a further 2 times in Australia.
* She is out of a stakes placed half sister to Kentucky Derby winner and successful sire Street Sense and is a half sister to the stakes winner Camdus.
* Valley of Light has a 2yo half sister by Deep Impact, a yearling half sister by Snitzel and a weanling half sister by Snitzel still to race.
* Her dam Elusive Sparkle is due to foal to the very promising Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.
* Valley of Light's half sister Sea The Sparkle has produced a weanling colt by Lonhro and is due to foal to The Autumn Sun this coming season.
* Another half sister Jemsa has an unraced 2yo filly by Teofilo and a yearling filly by Medaglia D'Oro.
* Valley of Light carries no Danehill blood and presents an opportunity to buy a beautifully bred, young mare from a family with great upside.
Valley of Light's Breeding History:
* In 2019 Valley of Light tested in foal to Snitzel after her first cover on 15/9/19 but tested negative on her 3rd scan on 28/10/19. This was due to a hoof abcess that caused Valley of Light to very lame during the early stages of her pregnancy. Valley of Light was covered again by Snitzel on 9/11/19 but failed to ovulate and wasn't re-covered due to the lateness of the season.
